About Ann

Ann Tisdale-Owen is a versatile artist specializing in custom pet portraits and quick caricatures that capture the unique essence of our beloved companions. With a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Southern Illinois University and a minor in Film, Ann combines her rich artistic background with her passion for animals, creating memorable gifts for any occasion.
Raised in the Midwest, Ann relocated to Los Angeles after college through an internship at Warner Bros. Animation, launching a successful 23-year career in the film industry. After facing health challenges, she returned to her first love: creating art. Inspired by her affection for her fur babies, Ann began her artistic journey with watercolors, and now enjoys a spacious studio where she paints large-scale oils and acrylics.
Ann has showcased her artwork in a gallery on the famous Abbott Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA, infusing her pieces with a cinematic quality that tells a heartfelt story. What sets Ann's work apart is her deep understanding of the bond between humans and their pets-having rescued and fostered hundreds of kittens over two decades. She believes pets are not just companions, but sources of unconditional love and purpose.
Through her quick caricatures and custom portraits, Ann offers a heartfelt way to celebrate and memorialize the pets that bring joy into our lives. The loss of a pet can be overwhelming, and Ann's art provides a piece of that love, allowing clients to cherish their beloved animals.
With each brushstroke, she hopes to convey comfort and connection, giving customers a lasting reminder of the joyful presence of their pets.
Whether you're looking for a thoughtful gift or a tribute to a cherished friend, Ann's art brings warmth and joy, turning special moments into cherished memories.
